Clinical Theory Introduction Nurses utilize multiple theories daily to care for patients and their families, though these theories range from grand, to situation-specific, to mid-range the nurse tends to focuses on which theory will provide the best care to his/her patient. Perhaps in my opinion mid-range theories with their growing frequency of use are best suited for nursing in the 21st century. Mid-range theories are said to be middle rather than ordinary but they are specific enough to evaluate observed situations (McCurry, Revell, Roy, 2009). Health promoting behavior is enhanced through nursing practice, which enhances the patient’s overall well being. This mid-range theory is important today because it guides a supportive and educative system in health promotion in a patient who needs teaching and demonstration in performing self-care. By applying this method the nurse is able to identify patient’s health promoting behavior’s such as, health importance, self-efficacy, perceived control of health and perceived health status to find any gaps and/or barriers to their health promoting behavior (Simmons, 1990). By promoting health the nurse seeks to care for the individual by developing these behaviors of healthy living, which sets the stage for the individuals to gain knowledge to care for themselves. This applies to all nurses who actively promote healthy living by becoming an active influence in developing healthy living behaviors through education and guidance. Conclusion These middle range theories set the groundwork for research. Each are utilized daily in clinical practice to provide the best patient care. This explains why he is uneducated because he doesnt know how to spell. This trait doesnt really affect the story, but it shows how African American people dont get so much education. That is how much they get. This is because African American people dont get so much respect. They dont even get enough education. The way that Jefferson changes throughout the story are by his attitude. In the beginning, he wouldnt talk at all. He was only being rude and not talking but at the end, he started opening up. Jefferson was open-minded at the end of the story he started telling Grant his feelings. For example, he let grant read his notebook. He also started to listen and talk to Grant, because before he would only look at the wall. The quote I found was on page 220 I see you have been writing, personal or can I look at it? It aint nothin Do you mind? If you want. The bold is Jefferson talking. He let Grant look at his personal journal. But he didnt do that at the beginning, he wouldnt even look at Grant at his eyes. Vivian was the one making Grant go back. This affected the relationship with Grant because since he didnt want to go back with Grant, but when he started opening up, Grant liked going with Jefferson again.If there was no change with Jefferson then the story would be so boring because he wouldnt have started to talk and he would have become a man. That would have been bad. I have learned a lot about how they treat American people. It is so not fair that he didnt do anything, yet he gets the blame. I dont think that 1 part of what happened to Jefferson is fair. I cant even imagine what he went through having to know that he is going to die badly. I dont know what I would have done if that were me. The thing that gets me so mad is that HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING. If he did kill it well, I get it because he did do something, but he did nothing. Hence, the customers can curb the profit level of the organizer (Magretta 2013). The bargaining power of the suppliers: This particular industry is not typically dependent on the suppliers. The main resource of the company is the owners or the staffs skills. As mentioned by E. Dobbs (2014) a production based company is hugely dependent on the suppliers, but not a service providing company. Hence, it can be said that the bargaining power of the suppliers is low. The threat of new entrants: Starting a resume company does not include financial engagement to a large extent. Hence, it is easy for the new entrants to play in this market. It has made the threat level high. Threat of the substitutes: It can be designated as a moderate one. The online interface provides number of assistance to the customers for developing their resume free of cost. Moreover, as discussed before, the market is crowded with similar service providers. The customers can easily replace a company with other. The competitive rivalry: It is typically high in this industry. With a huge availability of the similar service providers, the market of this particular industry is facing a huge competition (Tanwar 2013). Cost leadership: As the market is full of competitors and substitutes, the company may use this strategy. Differentiation: The company may provide extra services, like buy one get one free, price cut for the second use and many more for making the service unique (Moon et al. 2014). Focus: Focusing on the narrower part of the service will not be profitable for this business.
